I made this today out of plastic shopping bags fused together - it was quite easy actually, easier than I thought it would be sewing the fused plastic. I haven’t decided what to use it for just yet, perhaps a wee wetbag for pads, or maybe just a coin purse, been wanting a new one for a while Laughing

I used this tute to make the ‘fabric’: http://etsylabs.blogspot.com/2007/05/long-overdue-fusing-plastic-bag.html

Mine turned out quite stiff as I used quite a few layers of plastic, reminds me a bit of plastic milk bottles, but thinner. The purse was quite difficult to turn through after sewing, probably the hardest part of the whole process Very Happy

Now that I know it works without screwing up my iron and stinking out the house I’ll try making enough ‘fabric’ for a tote bag next.

Yeah I never did get enough 'fabric' for a tote Sad For some reason now every time I try it I shrink the plastic right up and it's no good for anything Razz
